It was great doing a book signing at The Legends of Basketball Summer Summit in New Orleans this month and seeing friends such as Stephen Bardo and Mark Johnson.
Stephen is a former teammate of mine from the Dallas Mavericks and has a great book out titled “How to Make the League Without Picking Up The Rock: The Ultimate Teenage Success Guide”. He’s now a sports reporter in the Chicago area.
Mark is the son of a former Harlem Globetrotter, Andy Johnson, and has written a really good book titled “Basketball Slave” in which he write about the early days of professional basketball with the ‘Trotters and all of the hardships that they had to overcome in order to play the game they loved.
These are two really good guys who are working hard to make that “transition” that I always talk about … “after the game”.
Good job guys and keep up the great work!
