I had a great meeting recently with Brian Duggan here in Seattle from Carnegie Learning which is a learning program for students that is especially helpful in learning math. Carnegie Learning provides research centered, middle school and high school curriculum, that are continually improved based on student learning strategies and the changing landscape of education. They provide both text and software components to connect with how students learn and support teachers and leaders with a comprehensive professional development plan to ensure the success of all. As you know, education is one of my passions, and am always looking at a variety of solutions that will help our students learn better. I was very impressed by what Carnegie Learning offers and the great success track record that is put together over the years. I hope to be working with Brian and Carnegie Learning in speaking to schools and school districts throughout the Northwest to see if we can get this wonderful program in front of students who could really benefit from it. I’m hoping to find groups/companies who would sponsor a number of licenses that would provide the program to students/families who can’t afford it ( by the way, it’s very affordable for the vast majority of us , but there are a lot of families/students who would appreciate some assistance). Thanks for the information Brian, and looking forward to helping our students in anyway we can. www.carnegielearning.com
