Students involved in the Careers in Education program at the Delta Schoolcraft ISD held a fundraiser recently to sponsor multiple showings of “Suicide: The Ripple Effect.”
Early in January, the movie will be available for viewing by all students in 7th through 12th grades. On January 10, the group is sponsoring a free showing of the movie for the public.
Student Coordinator Brianna Sliva was involved in bringing the movie to campus and says the topic is an important one for everyone.
“We all watched it and it was really affecting to us and it was really just a great movie overall. It really touched us and we wanted to do something with mental health this year as one of our service projects for part of the class. We thought what a great opportunity to not only get this movie out there but spread the message about how common mental health illness is,” said Silva.
