Data show that the number of #mentalhealth-related emergency visits for #adolescents aged 12 to 17 has increased by 31% since 2019.
Toledo, Ohio — Beyond Healthcare has been in operation for only 7 months and is already treating 150 clients aged 6 to 17 years.
CEO Lisa Richardson said she worked hard to build a comprehensive and secure space for this growing group suffering from mental health.
“There are more and more visits to the emergency room for 6-year-olds who are really suffering from #mentalhealth,” Richardson said.

She said that when the child leaves the ER, hospital, or hospital with the family, #mentalhealthtreatment will begin. Richardson said he offers a variety of treatments to help the whole family.
The goal is to help bring the family back into a mentally safe space for their #children and themselves.
This is especially important when accompanied by extreme changes and tensions caused by the #COVID-19 #pandemic. Not all family traditions can be embraced because some #children are out of #school and the holiday season is in full swing.
It puts a heavy burden on the young mind.
“Holidays aren’t just the times #adults may have a hard time,” Richardson said. “#Children can also struggle. As a result of #COVID, many traditions they used have been lost. We say that #children are welcomed and supported in our environment. I want you to feel it. “

Welcome to the “next chapter” of my life… being a voice and an advocate for #mentalhealthawarenessandsuicideprevention, especially pertaining to our younger generation of students and student-athletes.
Getting men to speak up and reach out for help and assistance is one of my passions. Us men need to not suffer in silence or drown our sorrows in alcohol, hang out at bars and strip joints, or get involved with drug use.
Having gone through a recent bout of #depression and #suicidalthoughts myself, I realize now, that I can make a huge difference in the lives of so many by sharing my story, and by sharing various resources I come across as I work in this space. #http://bit.ly/JamesMentalHealthArticle
only helps to eliminate the myth that talking about #suicide with #teens leads them to #suicide.“ Instead of it causing it or making it more popular, it’s the exact opposite,” Wakefield said. “It really opens up the ability to have dialogue and this really important conversation.” She said that many local #mentalhealth facilities focus on #adults, but it also helps smaller #children. However, Wakefield explained that Beyond Healthcare likes the way Beyond #Healthcare focuses on #children and #teens with their families.https://www.youtube.com/embed/qcgs7EpEzv8?feature=oembed“I will say [to #parents] #Mentalhealthissues aren’t the fault of anyone. ”She added that it is important for families to understand that #mentalhealthissues are not limited to environmental, genetic, or specific issues. But it’s best to discuss it and make a plan. Wakefield said he was able to meet the #students safely and help them discuss the issue, even during the #pandemic.“I talked directly to over 16,000 #students,” Wakefield said. “#Children need it. #Parents encourage their #children to have a healthy heart and at the same time learn that they will need it.”
